Buford Highway back open after fire under bridge

Buford Highway is back open after a fire under the Peachtree Creek bridge closed the highway in both directions Monday, Brookhaven police said.

Buford Highway was closed between North Druid Hills and West Druid Hills roads just before 9:30 p.m.

The highway reopened about 11:30 p.m.

MARTA bus route 39, which was redirected due to the road closure, is also back to normal.
