A truck fire near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport blocked all southbound lanes of I-85 for about three hours Tuesday morning.

The tanker truck caught fire near the Camp Creek Parkway exit, the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center reported. It is not clear what started the blaze or if the incident caused any injuries.

Initially, all lanes were blocked in both directions while firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control.

Crews were able to put the fire out shortly before 8:30 a.m., and northbound lanes were reopened. Southbound traffic was diverted onto Sylvan Road as the cleanup continued.

Traffic was at a standstill early Tuesday morning after a tanker truck fire on I-85 South near Camp Creek Parkway.
