A major interstate in Atlanta has reopened after a police investigation shut it down for more than two hours Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened on I-20 West at Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, police said. Atlanta officers were sent to the area about 1:45 p.m.

Authorities closed all westbound lanes of I-20 while police were on the scene. The interstate was reopened about 4:15 p.m.
