Traffic along I-75 in Cobb County appears to be moving again after a truck transporting wood lost its load on the interstate Wednesday afternoon.

Delays in the southbound lanes stretched back to Kennesaw after a truck carrying what appeared to be a massive load of two-by-fours spilled its lumber onto the interstate near the Delk Road exit in Marietta, according to the WSB 24-hour Traffic Center.

Several lanes were shut down for more than an hour as crews picked up the wood and moved the truck onto the shoulder of the highway, Cobb police said. There didn’t appear to be a wreck or any other vehicles involved in the incident, but delays remain ahead of the afternoon commute.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether the driver was cited.
