A town hall meeting will be held Sunday to address the obstacles facing African-American girls in school and elsewhere as they strive to achieve and be successful. It was organized by the National Women’s Law Center, African-American Policy Forum, Multi-Agency Alliance for Children, the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, the Women’s Center of Spelman College and Helping our Teen Girls, Inc. It will feature Deborah Richardson, vice president of the National Center for Civil & Human Rights. It starts at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hope Financial Dignity Center, 101 Jackson Street, N.E.
