The Social Security Administration recently revealed the most popular names of 2020.

The baby names certainly look familiar. The top three remained the same as the previous year for both sexes: Olivia, Emma and Ava; and Liam, Noah and Oliver.

“Of both Top 10 lists combined, only two names changed, with the traditional names Henry and Alexander edging out Mason and Ethan,” the Social Security Administration said.

Henry joined the top 10 list for the first time in more than a century. According to the agency, the name has been slowly rising in popularity and last appeared on SSA’s top 10 list in 1910.

The SSA also revealed the top five fastest-rising names in 2020. Zyair was the fastest-growing name for boys and Avayah for girls.

Other names that jumped up the list were Archie, Kobe and variations of Gianna.

The Social Security Administration pulls the information from applications received for Social Security cards in order to put each year’s list together. They’ve been releasing the country’s most popular name list since 1997.
