Newnan police are investigating a drive-by shooting Tuesday night that sent three people to Grady Memorial Hospital.

Deputy Chief Rodney Riggs told Channel 2 Action News that two men, ages 20 and 24, were sitting on the front porch of a home on West Washington Street in Newnan about 9:45 p.m. Tuesday when a burgundy-colored car drove by and multiple shots were fired from the car toward the house.

Both men were hit by the gunfire, and a 57-year-old woman in bed inside the house was also shot, Riggs said. Another person inside the house was not injured.

All three victims were taken to Grady, the woman by helicopter. All were in serious condition Wednesday afternoon, according to Channel 2.
