Police have arrested a Riverdale man in connection with a triple shooting early Sunday at a Waffle House in Clayton County.

Deuntae Jones, 21, was arrested after a traffic stop following the incident.

A police spokesman said a group of young adults were at the crowded restaurant on Tara Boulevard in Lovejoy around midnight when they got into an altercation with another group of patrons who had just entered.

The argument spilled out into the parking lot and was followed by gunfire.

Police said the three victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Jones is charged with three counts of aggravated assault, carrying a concealed weapon, reckless conduct and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
