Two metro Atlanta co-workers won $1 million playing the instant game Million $$ Match.
Exlon Hall III of Decatur and Kenya Jones of Norcross, who work for an electrical company, each claimed their prizes Thursday, the Georgia Lottery announced Friday.
“We scratched it off during our lunch break,” said Jones, 34. “I felt good about the ticket because I’d won $250 two weeks earlier.”
Hall, 35, said he also felt confident about the ticket, which was purchased at OM, 5910 Jimmy Carter Blvd., Norcross.
“It really wasn’t a shocker for us,” he said. “We started playing about three years ago, and we’ve always talked about hitting it big.”
The men plan to purchase new homes with their winnings.
Hall and Jones weren’t the only local lottery winners. John Walker, 71, of Smyrna, matched all five winning numbers from the Jan. 14 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $332,464 jackpot prize. The winning numbers were: 11-35-36-37-38.
Walker said he plans to use the money to buy his wife a new car.
