Three men were convicted Thursday in the April 2012 shooting death of a Kennesaw man.

Percy Burdine, 31, Jalin Collins, 20, and Brandon Love, 20, all of Woodstock, were convicted of felony murder and aggravated assault in connection with the slaying of Milton Carl Kelley, according to Kim Isaza, spokeswoman for the Cobb District Attorney’s Office.

The trio, who were also convicted on marijuana possession charges, killed Kelley, 53, at his Leicester Drive home, a news release said.

In addition to those charges, Collins and Love were both convicted of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and Love was convicted of malice murder.

According to the District Attorney, Burdine planned to steal marijuana from Kelley, whom he’d purchased drugs from previously. Burdine made several attempts to contact Kelley and eventually took Collins and Love, who were armed, to Kelley’s residence to commit the crime.

All three men could be imprisoned for life when they are sentenced Monday at 9 a.m.
