2. Tennessee student found safe, teacher arrested at California commune. A 15-year-old Tennessee girl who disappeared with her teacher more than a month ago was found safe at a commune in California and her 50-year-old teacher was arrested, authorities said. [Read more]

3. Ga. college cadet awaits penalty for bathroom snapshot of officer. Dante Harris, who took a picture of the assistant commandant of cadets in a University of North Georgia bathroom, appeared before a college disciplinary panel Wednesday. The panel could suspend or expel him or revoke his $70,000 military scholarship. [Read more]

4. Teacher out of classroom after using racial epithet. A Georgia high school teacher is no longer in the classroom after a video of her using a racial epithet surfaced Wednesday night, according to reports. In the video, Murray County High School teacher Jennifer Cooley can be heard saying a slur and puckering her lips. [Read more]

5. Georgia congressional District 6: Republicans vs. Democrats votes. Democrat Jon Ossoff may have gotten nearly half the votes cast in the District 6 special election yesterday. But the run-off in June will be much different. To get a sense of how the run-off election could look like, we combined all of the Republican votes into one entity. We did the same for Democrats.
