1. Salute to Miss D.C.: Miss Georgia Emanii Jovan Davis was one of the finalists Sunday night in the Miss USA pageant. But the crown went to Miss District of Columbia Deshauna Barber. Barber is a soldier in the Army Reserve and hopes to take a break for a year. | Photos

2. Umbrella time? Tropical storm Colin is headed toward Florida's Gulf coast and the storm is expected to produce rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches. Up to 8 inches is possible across western Florida, eastern Georgia, and coastal areas of the Carolinas through Tuesday.

3. Overnight SWAT raid nets 8 arrests: Eight people were arrested early Monday after an hours-long SWAT situation at a northwest Atlanta barbershop, police said.

4. Social media firestorm of the day: On Sunday, former CNN host Piers Morgan tweeted that Muhammad Ali made more "inflammatory/racist" comments than Donald Trump.
