1. The snow is coming. There's no question about that. But when will the white stuff actually fall? While a mix of snow and rain could start as early as noon in metro Atlanta, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Karen Minton said "it's really later tonight when it gets going in a big way and could dump some heavy amounts of snow." [Read here] 

2. Hawks fans react bitterly to Kyle Korver trade. The Atlanta Hawks were finalizing a deal that would send forward Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers. News broke during the Hawks' 99-94 win over New Orleans that Atlanta would receive a 2019 protected first-round pick and Mike Dunleavy from Cleveland. (The deal is not yet, official.) [Read here] 

3. Georgia elections among least competitive in nation. Georgia is one of the least politically competitive states in the nation and money is a big part of it, according to the Institute on Money in State Politics. According to their data, 81 percent of incumbents for the Georgia General Assembly ran unopposed in the general election. [Read here] 

4. With snow on the way there is not a slice of bread left in Atlanta. When the forecast calls for snow in Atlanta, people flock to the grocery stores for bread. Lots of bread. [Read here] 

5. Sandy Springs foot doctor faces federal charges of distributing narcotics. A foot doctor in Sandy Springs and her office manager were indicted on federal charges in connection with prescribing and distributing narcotic pain pills, officials said Thursday. [Read here]
