5 things to know on Thursday, October 15:

1. A driver died early this morning while a Georgia State Patrol car pursued him. After losing sight of the car, the patrolmen discontinued the pursuit. 40 minutes later, the car was found burning, with the driver dead. [Read more here]

2. The morning host of NewsRadio 106.7 is off the air, pending an investigation into an interview with Donald Trump. Steve McCoy claimed that the Trump campaign asked him to not ask any policy questions, a claim that the campaign denies. [Read more here]
