The Lanier Service Unit of Girl Scouts will hold their our Third Annual Thin Mint Sprint 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at Suwanee Town Center Park.

The event, with more than 250 participants, supports Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta in their goal to bring Girl Scouting to all girls regardless of ability to pay. All proceeds benefit the Girl Scout Council of Greater Atlanta, helping girls from 34 Atlanta metro counties to become future community and world leaders with character, confidence and courage.

Team outfits and costumes are encouraged. Winners in each age bracket will receive a free box of thin mints. Registration begins at 7 a.m., 5K at 8 a.m. and 1 Mile Fun Run at 9 a.m. Information: ThinMintSprint. Registration: Active.com.
