1. Atlanta speculator Rick Warren gets jail

On Tuesday, Buckhead speculator Rick Warren was sentenced to 30 days in jail for neglecting one of Atlanta's poorest neighborhoods. Warren, according to an Atlanta Journal-Constitution investigation, had at least 20 housing code enforcement convictions to his name. Read more.

2. American Cancer Society revises guidelines for breast screenings

Under the new, revised guidelines released Tuesday, the Atlanta-based organization recommends that women of average risk start their annual mammograms at age 45 instead of the prior recommendation at age 40. Read more about the new guidelines.

3. Atlanta officer apologizes for drunken incident at Alpharetta hotel

5. SunTrust denies laid-off workers to be 'on call'

The Atlanta-based bank didn't say that 100 workers would not be let go, but it did deny a previous report by Computerworld that said those laid-off employees would be required to be 'on call' and expected to help the company for two years without pay. SunTrust said in a statement, "[The company] has never used this provision to require a former employee to be 'on call' to help conduct day-to-day business in any way." Read more.
