Q: I always watch “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” George Will hasn’t been on there the last few weeks. Why is that?

— Fred Ajax, Atlanta

A: Will, a conservative commentator, left ABC News for the Fox News Channel earlier this month because "This Week" now broadcasts from New York about three weeks a month and Will lives in the Washington area, according to an ABC News spokesman. Stephanopoulos, the show's host, also co-anchors "Good Morning America," which also broadcasts from New York. "The travel just became an issue for George," the spokesman told The New York Times. "But we honor his contributions to ABC News and we think the world of him." Will had regularly appeared on "This Week" since 1981, when David Brinkley was the host.

Q: In almost all photos of John Boehner, he is surrounded by a group of men. But there usually is a dark-haired woman standing slightly behind him. Who is she?

— Linda McGraw, Brookhaven

A: Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., is the chair of the House Republican Conference and often is seen with Boehner, the Speaker of the House, in photos. As the head of the conference, she is the highest ranking Republican woman in Congress and the fourth-highest ranking Republican in the House, according to her official bio. She is considered a passionate opponent of President Barack Obama. The Seattle Times called McMorris Rodgers one of Boehner's top lieutenants.
