Q: Did President Barack Obama meet with the Ferguson protesters in Washington?

A: President Obama met with national civil rights leaders on Nov. 5, a discussion that "included a conversation about Ferguson," The New York Times reported this week. Civil rights activist Al Sharpton, who has been a visible figure since Michael Brown's death in Ferguson, Mo., on Aug. 9, told the paper that the president "was concerned about Ferguson staying on course in terms of pursuing what it was that he knew we were advocating. He said he hopes that we're doing all we can to keep peace." Many groups — including Hands Up United, Lost Voices, The Organization for Black Struggle, Missourians Organizing for Reform and Empowerment and Millennial Activists United, among others — are protesting Brown's death. About 50 groups have joined the Don't Shoot Coalition (www.dontshootstl.org), which has helped organize and provide support for the protesters, and aims to de-escalate potential violence.
Q: Delta is changing its Sky Miles program on Jan. 1 to be based on how much tickets cost rather than the number of miles the traveler flies. Under this new policy, will Delta credit the person paying for the ticket as opposed to the person flying?

A: The miles will "accrue to the account of the person traveling, regardless of who pays for the ticket," in the 2015 SkyMiles program, a Delta spokesman told Q&A on the News in an email. More information can be found at delta.com.
