The Wildland Firefighter Foundation is taking donations at Wildland Firefighter Foundation, 2049 Airport Way, Boise, Idaho, 83705 or by calling (208) 336-2996. Q: How many states have female governors? How many have black governors and Hispanic governors?

A: There are five women governors in the U.S. They are: Jan Brewer (Arizona), Mary Fallin (Oklahoma), Nikki Haley (South Carolina), Maggie Hassan (New Hampshire) and Susana Martinez (New Mexico). Four are Republican, with Hassan being the only Democrat. There were eight women governors from 2003-09. Deval Patrick, of Massachusetts, is the only black governor in the U.S. Martinez and Nevada governor Brian Sandoval, who is of Mexican descent, are Hispanic.
