Q: Now that the two newest downtown attractions, the Center for Civil and Human Rights and the College Football Hall of Fame, have been open for at least six months, what are the respective number of admissions?

A: The Center for Civil and Human Rights and the College Football Hall of Fame will not release admission numbers until after their first year of operation, officials for both museums told Q&A on the News.
The Center for Civil and Human Rights opened in June 2014 and the College Football Hall of Fame opened in August.
Attendance has increased this year at the Center for Civil and Human Rights because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Black History Month (February) and the 50th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday and the Selma-to-Montgomery marches, spokeswoman LaTasha Smith said.
College Football Hall of Fame attendance increased during the holidays and around the SEC Championship game and Peach Bowl, both of which are played at the Georgia Dome.
John Stephenson, president and CEO of the College Football Hall of Fame, is looking forward to the spring and summer, traditionally the best months for tourism in Atlanta, he said.
“We haven’t been through one of those seasons before, so we are very excited to see what it brings us.”
Stephenson told The AJC in August that the Hall of Fame needs 380,000 visitors a year to financially break even.
Both museums are on the Atlanta CityPass (citypass.com/Atlanta), a discount ticket for city attractions.
