Q: Reading the article about the arrival of the Airbus A380 reminded me of the 1960s, when my dad would take us to the observation deck of the old Atlanta airport to watch the planes. Does Hartsfield-Jackson have an observation deck, and if so, where is it? If it doesn't, where do the aviation enthusiasts station themselves to see planes? — Jan Angstadt, LaGrange

A: Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport doesn't have an observation deck for viewing planes. Aviation enthusiasts often watch planes from the top of both the north and south parking decks, or sometimes from the north cargo building parking lot. The Delta Sky Deck, which opened in June, is a 1,710-square-foot outdoor terrace that "provides customers a distinctive space with unprecedented runway views at the world's busiest airport." But it is open only to Delta Sky Club members (annual membership fee or $50 a day) and is past the TSA security checkpoint, so only travelers with tickets can view planes from there.

Q: Can you tell us what happened to the cow that was rescued near I-675? I hope she has an excellent home. — Tanya Kent, Suwanee

A: The cow, which was nicknamed "Kevin the Cow," was sold at a livestock auction, and the funds were donated to charity, a spokeswoman with the Georgia Department of Transportation told Q&A on the News in an email. The cow was captured on Sept. 16 after it was repeatedly seen grazing in the median and on the edges of I-675 in Clayton and Henry counties.
