A Texas man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly shooting at a frisbee golf player searching for a lost disc.

The Midland Reporter-Telegram reports Buddy Myers, 43, is facing a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he fired a shot at a 19-year-old who had accidentally thrown a disc golf into Myers' backyard.

KWES-TV reports, the teen inadvertently threw a disc into Myers' yard while playing at a nearby park. The teen went to the front door to contact the homeowner, but no one responded.

When the teen peered over a fence, Myers exited his house and shot a pistol in the direction of the teen, who was in his back alley, Midland Police spokesman Sara Higgins Higgins told the Reporter-Telegram.

KWES-TV reports that Myers then barricaded himself in his house when police arrived. About an hour later, Myers and an elderly woman, exited the house without incident.

Myers was booked into jail by the Midland County Sheriff’s Office. No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting.
