Clayton County police believe a 15-year-old found dead near an old golf course had been shot to death.

The teenage boy, whose name was not released, was found Tuesday night in the woods in the area of Tee Trace and Iverness Trace, near Riverdale, Officer Phong Nguyen said Wednesday.

Investigators believe the teen had been shot, but had not determined Wednesday night how he died.
