Suspicious package reported in Virginia Highland

May 11, 2013A suspicious package temporarily closed part of the Virginia Highland Friday night, according to police.
The area around 1002 N. Highland Ave. was being evacuated shortly before 8 p.m., according to Officer John Chafee.
The package was later determined to be harmless and contained personal items, Chafee said. The area was re-opened around 9 p.m.
