Nearly a month after a 22-year-old Union City man was shot outside a Sandy Springs bar, authorities found the suspect in New York.

After an altercation inside and outside of Tailfeathers Restaurant & Piano Bar, Joseph Thompson allegedly shot Rodriguez Price in the parking lot just after 2 a.m. Oct. 14, Sandy Springs police Capt. Steve Rose said at the time. Thompson, he said, fled south on Roswell Road in a black sedan.

The U.S. Marshals Service found him Nov. 13 in Queens, NY, according to a post on the Sandy Springs Police Department’s official Facebook page.

It is not clear when Thompson will be extradited to Georgia. Rose could not be reached for comment Friday.

Price is recovering from his wounds.
