Two weeks after allegedly shooting two men, killing one, at a Riverdale home, the suspected gunman was arrested in Miami, the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office said.

Todd Nicholas Welch, 25, has been charged murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, and violation of probation for the Aug. 21 shooting on Radford Drive. But he eluded capture until Friday, when he was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals in Miami, the Sheriff's Office said.

Welch is accused of killing Christopher Brown, wounding Darrell Agee, and fleeing the scene in a black Infiniti SUV with another man, who has not yet been identified, according to police.

When Welch was arrested, his girlfriend, Yakia Lewis, 26, was also arrested for allegedly violating probation, Sheriff Victor Hill said.
