Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS) recently saluted 21 students for their successful work in technical education courses. One student, Berkmar High’s Brittney Reese, was named the 2013 Technical Education Student of the Year and received a $1,000 scholarship. Brookwood High student Kuttler Smith was first runner-up and received a $500 scholarship, and Meadowcreek High student Franklin Gomez was second runner-up and received a $250 scholarship.
