They call their program “fired up for reading.” Volunteers from the Alpharetta Fire Department have been visiting the first grade classes at Alpharetta Elementary School and reading with the students. One first grader, Jeremiah Johnson from Ms. Lora Keys’ class, won a year-end drawing and was given a ride to school in a fire truck.
