And in the National ExploraVision Science Competition, the regional winners are: Flippen Elementary School third graders Alec Jackson and Jordan Hodge and Bethlehem Elementary third grader Torrie Hardy Jr. Their project is called Voice2Voice: Translation Earpiece. It was inspired by a student in Alec’s class who moved to Georgia from a foreign country. The team was coached The project was inspired by science teacher Christy Collier from Eagles Landing Middle School. The regional winning team will continue on to try to win the top honor of a $10,000 U.S. Savings Bond, competing against six other teams in the U.S. and Canada. A ceremony will be held to at Flippen Elementary on March 20 to recognize the achievements of these students.
