Political candidates to participate in forum

Eight political office-seekers are expected to participate in a meet-and-greet and candidate forum this evening at the John Marshall Law School in northwest Atlanta.

The four candidates in the race for Georgia school superintendent — Democrats Valarie Wilson and Alisha Thomas Morgan and Republicans Mike Buck and Richard L. Woods — along with Fulton County Commission candidates Marvin Arrington, Jr. and Brenda Muhammad and Fulton County Superior Court candidates Jane Barwick and Shelitha Robertson will meet voters at 6 p.m. and participate in a forum that begins at 7 p.m.

The event is being hosted by the League of Women Voters - Atlanta Fulton County and a pair of sororities, Delta Sigma Theta and Alpha Kappa Alpha.

The candidates are competing in the July 22 runoff.
