More than 12,600 people voted Sunday in Georgia

More than 12,600 voters cast ballots in Georgia’s first widespread Sunday voting effort, according to final tallies from 10 of the 11 participating counties.

Local elections officials said the results beat expectations, with several saying that their Sunday hourly turnout was greater than on other early voting days. With only McDuffie County not yet publicly reporting, here are the voting totals by county:
