Georgia early voting tops 100,000 ahead of July 22 runoff

July 16, 2014Georgia early voters have topped 100,000 only days before the state's early voting period ends Friday, according to the secretary of state's office. The number still lag the pace of the regular May 20 primary, however. Here's the latest, broken down by party. And for a reminder about how to vote early, click here for our early voting guide:
General Statewide Turnout
- Number of ballots cast: 104,534
- Number of ballots voted in person: 83,034
- Number of mail-in ballots returned: 21,500
- Number of mail-in ballots outstanding: 15,105
- Number of ballots cast, Republican: 79,718
- Number of ballots cast, Democratic: 24,323
- Number of ballots cast, Nonpartisan: 493
