Atlantans are invited to join in prayer for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. A special Mass will be celebrated by Reverend Chito Palang at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cathedral of Christ the King, 2699 Peachtree Road, Atlanta. Rev. Monsignor Francis G. McNamee, director of the Cathedral of Christ the King, will concelebrate the Mass. “As the world responds to meeting the immediate needs of the people of the Philippines, let us come together to unite in prayer for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan,” Palang said. Atlanta’s Archbishop Wilton D. Gregory has asked all the Catholic parishes in the Archdiocese of Atlanta to have for a second collection Saturday and Sunday for those affected by Typhoon Haiyan.
