A South Carolina woman was shocked when she saw a large snake dangling from the roof of her golf cart with its mouth open, WBTW reported.

Linda Wilkes Jordan said the reptile "almost made me have a heart attack," WMBF reported.

Wilkes, of Conway, said she climbed into her cart and began riding when the she saw the snake wrapped around a mirror.

"After going a few yards, he started slithering down. Scared me so bad I jumped off the cart," Jordan told WMBF.

The snake appeared to be a rat snake, which is not venomous, WBTW reported.

That did not matter to Jordan, who said she exited the cart quickly while it was still rolling.
