Officials at Estero Llano Grande State Park in Weslaco said Morgan Nolan was leaving the parking lot and had just merged onto I-2 when the reptile emerged, KHOU reported.

The snake slithered across Nolan’s windshield and then wrapped itself around the car’s passenger rear-view mirror, the television station reported.

According to park officials, Nolan pulled over and allowed the snake to escape from the car, KHOU reported.

Park officials did not identify the species of the reptile.
