Two people were shot in a Waffle House parking lot early Saturday morning in South Fulton, police said.

The victims were taken to local hospitals in stable condition, City of South Fulton Police Department Lt. Derrick Rogers said in a statement.

The shooting followed an “altercation between a large group of subjects” in the parking lot at the Waffle House on Fulton Industrial Boulevard near Camp Creek Parkway, Rogers said.

The shooting is under investigation.
