Shots were fired Sunday afternoon in the 800 block of Clayton Street and two people were injured.

Lawrenceville police were still on the scene about 3 p.m. investigating the incident, which happened around 1:30 p.m., Capt. Greg Vaughn said.

“We may or may not have a home invasion,” he said. “But we do have one who was shot in the lower chest and another who alleges he was pistol-whipped.”

The gunshot victim was transported to a local hospital.

Police are on the lookout for at least two men who are suspected of fleeing the scene, Vaughn said.
