Gwinnett County’s Shiloh Middle School was recognized last week with the Georgia Department of Education’s Family-Friendly Partnership School Award. It is one of four schools receiving the honor this school year. Also recognized were schools in the city of Gainesville and Glynn and Cherokee counties. Shiloh Middle was lauded for its welcoming staff members, comfortable waiting areas, easy-to-navigate web site and its partnership with parents to improve student achievement. “Earning this award shows our commitment to providing resources, support, and a welcoming environment for our parents and community,” said Shiloh Middle Principal Dr. Eli Welch.
