DeKalb County school police were searching Wednesday night for a missing 16-year-old boy with severe autism.

Angelo Messineo was last seen in the area of Eagle Woods Academy on Shadow Rock Drive in Lithonia, according to school police.

Angelo suffers from severe autism, has limited communication skills and is prone to having seizures, police said. The teen may become aggressive due to a lack of medication.

Angelo, who is 5-feet-7 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds, has brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a bright orange T-shirt, blue jeans and white athletic shoes, police said.

Anyone with information about the teen’s whereabouts is asked to contact DeKalb school police at 678-676-1810.
