A cool and gusty Saturday is expected to sweep into metro Atlanta this afternoon.
The winds will mix with clear skies and no chances of rain, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz.
“Sunshine, cool and windy for the day,” he said.
Cool overnight conditions means a morning low of 43 degrees. There will be a light breeze to start the day.
The gusts kick up heading into the afternoon with sustained winds of 20 to 25 mph, according to Nitz’s forecast. The high for the day should hit 62.
“The wind really picks up through the day Saturday. Gusts over 30 to 35 mph. That’s going to keep us cool, with a northwesterly wind direction. We’re going to struggle to get to 60, despite a sunny sky.”
