The 100 students who showed up to take the ACT Saturday at Lovejoy High School get to do it again this Saturday.

But this time, they’ll actually take the test. A new test date of June 15 was announced Monday, two days after the test administrator was a no-show Saturday.

“We apologize to students and parents for the most unfortunate circumstances that took place at the Lovejoy High School test administration site on June 8, 2013,” Luvenia Jackson, Clayton County interim superintendent, said in an emailed statement. “After working diligently to determine the causes that led to students not being able to take the test, we feel that a solution in the best interests of these students has been achieved.”

Students who were scheduled to take the test June 8 should plan to take it this Saturday, a day not previously scheduled as a testing day. The next scheduled test date for the national college admissions exam is Sept. 21, according to the ACT website.

The school system plans to provide lunch for Saturday’s test takers.
