Roads in East Point are clogged Sunday morning as hundreds of drivers are lined up for a food giveaway at Tyler Perry Studios.

The line for the drive-thru food giveaway, which is being held at 1 Tyler Perry Studios Way until noon, has Main Street backed up for more than two miles near Ga. 166.

Officials said they had run out of food boxes to give away before 10 a.m., Channel 2 Action News reported. However, they are still giving away gift cards.

“Although we wish that we could feed everyone in need, we will close the line at the 5,000th family,” the studio said on the flyer for the event.

People were lined up as early as 3 p.m. Saturday, Channel 2 reported. The studio asked that attendees limit two families to one vehicle.

In order to avoid the area, drivers should use Campbellton Road as an alternate route.
