A man found stabbed to death inside his south Fulton County home Monday had been apparently been dead for at least a week, according to authorities.

Neighbors of the victim on Marcliff Court called police Monday after not seeing their neighbor, a man in his 50s, for a couple of weeks.

Channel 2 Action News reported that those neighbors said they had noticed someone recently collecting mail from the victim's mailbox, and also recalled seeing someone at the house in the last week.

The victim’s car has been missing for about two weeks, according to Fulton County police.

Investigators have not said if anything is missing from the victim’s home.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office early Tuesday was still trying to confirm the victim’s identity.
