A Santa at a mall in Massachusetts is facing charges after an alleged incident involving an elf.

The Boston Herald reports that the man playing Santa — Herbert G. Jones, 62 — was arrested Saturday after a teenage girl accused him of groping her. The girl works with Jones as an elf photographer at a mall in Hanover, Mass.

Their employer, Cherry Hill Photos, told the Herald that the company was looking into the allegations. Cherry Hill officials said Jones passed an extensive background check and had no prior arrests or convictions.

Jones is out on a $1,000 bail. He is due back in court on Christmas Eve, according to the Herald.
