Many people probably haven’t seen a Blockbuster store in years, but they still exist in Alaska--12 stores to be exact, according to CBS News.

"I can't tell you how many business cards I've given out to people 'cause they literally do not believe that I'm from Blockbuster," said Kevin Daymude, manager of a store in Anchorage, Ala., to CBS News.

The movies in the stores are new, as well as the candy, but it still feels like a blast from the past, CBS reports.

Blockbuster went bankrupt in 2010 and supposedly closed all of its stores in 2013, but a franchise owner said to CBS that he decided to keep his stores open, and still owns nine of the 12 left in the country.

Daymude said the Blockbuster stores act as “community gathering places” in the winter because Internet is expensive in Alaska, CBS reports.

“They love the customer service, they love the interaction,” he said to CBS.
