Newly released video shows Florida State University students reacting to the news of a Thursday morning shooting on their campus.

In the video, students in a campus building appear to have just been told of the assault. "Wait, are you serious?" a female voice can be heard asking in the footage. "Oh my God, are you OK?"

According to the Associated Press, the shooting "started soon after midnight when students inside the multistory library heard about half a dozen gunshots. Students began screaming that someone was shooting at them and flipped over chairs in their race to take cover."

"All of a sudden everyone was scrambling and trying to get out," said one metro Atlanta resident, a freshman at FSU, who was in the library at the time. "It was so chaotic. ... Everyone was running around on the sidewalks. We made it to a building that was next door."

The gunman wounded three students -- including one who was treated at the scene and released -- before being killed in a shootout with police.

The tragedy has already spawned one very stupid tweet.
