Athens-Clarke County police this morning released a sketch of a man they said forced his way into a home and raped the person who lived there.

Between 2:30 a.m. and 5 a.m. April 11, a bald, overweight man with a muscular build knocked on the door of the residence, according to a release from the police department. The resident, who did not know the man, answered the door. Once the man forced his way inside the home, he raped the resident, police said.

Crime Stoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the man, who police believe is in his late 30s and about 6 feet tall.

Anyone who can help identify the man in the sketch is asked to call 911, 706-546-5900 or the Crime Stopper's confidential tip line at 706-613-3342.
