Police investigating deadly shooting at Vinings apartments

One person was killed in a shooting late Monday night at a Vinings-area apartment complex.

Cobb County police responded to the deadly incident at the Westhaven at Vinings complex off Cumberland Parkway and Paces Walk, police spokesman Sgt. Wayne Delk confirmed to AJC.com.

The shooting appears to be the result of a carjacking, Delk said.

Police were expected to release more information later Tuesday.
