Federal, state and local law enforcement were investigating suspected illegal drug activity Friday night in south Fulton County.

Complaints of drug activity at the Hood Mart, located at 5990 Old National Highway, prompted the investigation, Detective Melissa Parker with Fulton County police said.

“During that investigation, we did locate probable cause to obtain search warrants and arrest warrants,” Parker said Friday night.

U.S. Marshals and the Georgia State Patrol were assisting with the investigation.

Weapons and bootleg movies were also located in the store, according to police.

The store’s owner, Michael Hobby, and two others, Anthony Champion and Steaddrick Shivers, were all arrested on drug charges, Parker said. More arrests are expected, she said.

No further details were available late Friday. The investigation was expected to continue for several hours.
