DeKalb County police were investigating Wednesday a report that a woman was sexually assaulted inside her home.

A 45-year-old woman was attempting to leave her home in the 3100 block of Evelyn Street in Tucker around noon. When she approached her garage, which was open at the time, a man grabbed her, took her back inside, and then bound her before ransacking the house and assaulting her, DeKalb police spokesman Capt. Stephen Fore said.

The perpetrator was described as a light-skinned black man, between 20 and 30 years of age, with a slender build and wearing all black.

The man fled the scene on foot. It was unknown if he remained in the area or got into a nearby vehicle.
